![]() ![]() Not much English on that one.” Believe it or not, that is one of the most popular games at the arcade, It is called Punch Mania 2, it is based on a very popular Japanese cartoon called fist of the North Star, it has been enjoyed by hundreds of players. How do you play it? We're still not sure. They even have a weird game where you have to punch these red paddles that flip out at your face. “ I apologize for this Ben, but we are using classic mechanical token mechs in the xmen, which was what it was designed with almost 30 years ago, if you try to put in the tokens too quickly, sometimes the mechs won’t catch it properly, and sometimes clients put in quarters which jam or dis-align the mechs, even thought we adjust and test the mechs regularly several times a day, unless a client notifies us that the mech is not working properly we cannot check it and adjust it for them, and we also take care of the tokens they put in, many times giving them extra credits for their time, we like to keep that old arcade feel by continuing to use tokens, but alas this is the biggest problem that plagues a token type system, jams and having to deal with unfamiliar coins being jammed in them, a majority of our clients prefer the token system as it brings back the nostalgia of an era now gone. “I did enjoy tapping away on the cool X-Men game (although my brother frequently had to insert two tokens instead of the required one when using Nightcrawler). And I am proud to say it gives everyone the opportunity to play titles that you would never see anywhere else in the USA. I do not believe that is such a bad ratio 2 out of 63 cabinets. Out of all of those Arcade games only 2 imports out of the 63 cabinets that have Japanese writing in the games, the other 61 have all American text. ![]() Not including all the console and pc titles which will bring your total # of unique games you can play at Arcade Odyssey to well over 200 +. There are just a handful of classic games, and a ton of weird Japanese imports - some with nary an English word anywhere on them.” There are 63 games currently in the arcade, 3 of them are multigames with a ton of classic titles, such as Pacman, Frogger, Robotron, Missle command, etc, with the 3 multigames, it brings the total # of games you can play in the arcade to 105 different titles. “But Arcade Odyssey isn't all that special. You mentioned a few items in your review that I would like to address here is your review with my replies. I wanted to fall in love with Arcade Odyssey, but I'm not sure it merits a second date. But there wasn't any signage or anything. ![]() Did I really need to hear that blaring while I'm playing games? There are several desktop computers available (not sure why) and an area that appears to be set up for console games. There was also someone narrating something over a very loud speaker, but I have no idea where the man with the microphone was, or what the hell he was describing. There's an air hockey table, but it has a lot of dead spots where the puck doesn't float. I did enjoy tapping away on the cool X-Men game (although my brother frequently had to insert two tokens instead of the required one when using Nightcrawler). There are just a handful of classic games, and a ton of weird Japanese imports - some with nary an English word anywhere on them. But Arcade Odyssey isn't all that special. ![]() They are the last guardians of a dying age. On principle, I'm inclined to love any arcade. I wish there were more arcades like this, especially where I currently live because it would be a blast to work there and enjoy an atmosphere of people coming together to enjoy old- and new school games. It wouldn't do enough justice to how amazing this place is. I don't know what else to say that can't really be put into words. Immediately it's a welcoming and friendly atmosphere with the staff members helpful and completely awesome individuals. Essentially it is the home away from home. I also have a shirt from there that I love wearing. If I had a million dollars I would have easily spent it all there playing as much as possible, as long as possible while also enjoying the Japanese treats and drinks that are difficult to find. The classics from pinball to shooter games from DDR and Pump it up (which is my favorite whenever I get a chance to go there) to air hockey. The glow in the dark carpet is sick and I want them in my room! The games are a fantastic combination of old and new in catering to everyone's tastes in gaming genres. To put it simply it is the best place to be. ![]() ![]() ![]() The stunt casting approach has proliferated throughout DreamWorks’ filmography, but rarely more egregiously than in this.įurther reading: How Robin Williams Elevated the Final Aladdin Movie Having coaxed Robin Williams into a game-changing vocal turn as Aladdin’s Genie while he was at Disney, Katzenberg was after movie stars to provide the voices of characters from the very beginning. On this film more than almost any other subsequent DreamWorks project, that’s a result of casting. While A Bug’s Life is a Pixar movie, Antz is doing its utmost to be a Woody Allen movie. Still, despite all the noise about the similarities between the two projects, there’s a clear divergence in tone in the resulting films. Pixar’s film isn’t up there with their best, but it is better for having taken its sweet time. That film never materialized, but the same basic story was played out in the battle between Antz and A Bug’s Life. How do the films measure up?įunnily enough, DreamWorks was working a film based on The Tortoise And The Hare around this time, as part of their development deal with Aardman. This plan worked, and Antz arrived on screens a month before A Bug’s Life, costing $15 million more to make. It’s reported that he personally offered PDI’s animators cash incentives to get the film finished on time, in a mad rush to get it out in cinemas ahead of the Pixar movie. In retaliation, Katzenberg unexpectedly moved the release of Antzforward five months, to October 1998. ![]() Sometime after this date was announced, Disney positioned Pixar’s second outing, now known as A Bug’s Life, to come out on the same weekend, in a clear bid to flatten the biblical epic. Slated for release in 1998, Brenda Chapman’s The Prince Of Egypt was supposed to be DreamWorks Animation’s first release, with Antz to follow in March 1999. The feud raged on throughout the production process on both films as the Disney higher-ups began sabre rattling in return. He felt Pixar’s film was being treated as “cannon fodder” in a fight that wasn’t of their making.įurther reading: 25 Underrated Family Movies Furious, he personally called Katzenberg to question him directly. Naturally, Lasseter was dismayed that DreamWorks announced Antz as their first CG-animated film in the Hollywood trade papers. He ultimately sued the company and got a $270 million settlement. But around this point, the producer had a massive falling-out with Disney CEO Michael Eisner and left the company. Katzenberg was curious about what Pixar was doing next and Lasseter and co-director Andrew Stanton gladly shared their detailed plans for Bugs. Then known as Bugs, the story took inspiration from The Ant And The Grasshopper and Seven Samurai, to tell the story of a motley crew of insects tasked with saving an ant colony from the yoke of greedy grasshoppers. Elsewhere, during the lengthy post-production of Toy Story in 1994, Pixar started developing their second feature. According to Katzenberg, one such pitch was for a film called Army Ants, which was the story of a pacifist ant in a militarized colony.įurther reading: Disney’s Hercules and the Challenge of Castingĭelivered in 1992, the pitch didn’t get greenlit, but apparently, it stuck with Katzenberg. Many of these ideas went on to generate the Disney renaissance of the 1990s, with films such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty & The Beast, and Aladdin, as well as inspiring later entries like Pocahontas and Hercules. Back in the late 1980s, when the latter was shaking up Disney’s animation division, he held a kind of gong show where everyone at the company, from the animators to the janitors, would have an opportunity to pitch feature projects for their boss. Whichever filmmaker you side with, Lasseter and Katzenberg both say the idea started at Disney. That said, it’s fascinating to compare and contrast the two films as works by relatively new studios – one very deliberately striking out against Disney’s monopoly over animated features, and the other working under the roof of the House of Mouse – in the context of this grudge match, as well as on their own merits. ![]() ![]() At the rhythm of the 4 seasons, the fallen Souls challenge each other to regain their place in the World Tree. As consumers trend away from physical media, it’s no wonder that the apps to create those physical media are shinking as well. I heard that Adobe Encore CS6 was the final disc authoring system that runs on a Mac. DTS HD support for Blu-ray You can now import DTS HD files into Encore and build to blu-ray discs. In addition, Encore CS6 supports Random and Shuffle options for chapter playlists in web DVDs. Both kids slept like a dream the whole way thanks to Flyaway kids bed. The other week we flew home from Tanzania on an overnight flight. This all contributes to a great night sleep. We always get our kids into PJs once we are on the flight, they also have eye masks, plane blanket and pillow. Put a blanket over your little one and keep the seat belt over it so cabin crew can see it, they are less likely to disturb you. The main thing is to be discreet, use the correct window, keep your little ones seat belt on and make sure there head is not at the tray end. I have been taking these kinds of products onto the flights for the last few years without any issues. There are a handful of airlines that do not accept and some others where the cabin crew will have the final say. The Flyaway Designs website has a list of airlines that do currently accept the product. ![]() The material was fine to sleep directly on with their PJ’s. I really like the finish on this product, I didn’t even feel it needed a cover. Our girl is a tall 5 year old so she obviously couldn’t stretch out but she was able to articulate that she found it more comfortable than other ones she had tried. We used this product for our toddler on the outbound flight and our 5 year old had a chance to use it on the way back. There is enough air inside to ensure they can’t feel any bumps. This is definitely the best thing about the Flyaway Kids Bed! Flyaway Bed Review With other products they are not quite as thick so my kids could feel all the lumps and bumps in the seat. The reason this product is more comfortable than others is because it’s completely flat but also full of air. Once the comfy kids airplane bed was all set up, we used one blanke t and pillow provided by the airline to settle our little one down. Comfy Kids Airplane Bed Flyaway Bed Review I was really happy to find this product has an emergency valve, you can pull in case you needed to deflate the product instantly. You can use the product on bulk head seats and obviously you can not use it on exit rows. My personal preference is to use a window seat for this product as little ones don’t have the distraction of someone on both sides. The window seat is fine as is the centre two seats if you are flying on a large aircraft. Something that is super important is to choose appropriate and safe seats if you plan to use this product. Setting Upįlyaway Bed Review Choose Correct Seats For Use Flyaway Bed Review We loved the little bag it comes with as it packs up into a good size for hand luggage. The other good thing about the pump is it’s not noisy so it doesn’t draw attention when setting it up. It’s quite a small pump in comparison to the ones that come with similar products, this was a big plus, as it takes less space in hand luggage. ![]() The entire bed and support stand inflates in 90 seconds with a handy little pump. It has a clever support stand that hold the mattress in place. This set up creates a flat soft bed so kids can lie down and catch that all important beauty sleep. The Flyaway Kids Bed is essentially a blow up mattress that goes on top of the airplane seat and fills the legroom space as well. The first and foremost thing I have to say about the design of the Flyaway Kids Bed is it trumps all others when it comes to comfort for the kids. We’ve tried a number of products, from the Plane Pal to the Jet Kids BedBox, they all have different pros and cons to the design. That was until an airplane bed for kids came onto the market. Sleep is the number one thing that keeps us all in check but sometimes trying to bed kids down on a flight can be a nightmare. Hence we had to write a Flyaway Bed review as soon as we tried it. As a family of frequent travellers, we are always keen to keep our little ones as comfortable and happy as possible on a long journey. ![]() ![]() I'm still not 100% sure that it's the ECM that's failed. At least it's a really good starting point. I'll have this list handy if I get to wrecker's soon to check. That list is great! The ECM in the vibe says 'toyota' on it so I'm guessing these part numbers would match something that's in a vibe. You may also be able to call the dealership and inquire about the number (if the Vibe number is different) if they don't want to help, maybe send it to me and I'll threaten to crush the guys at my local dealer to death with my love handles if they don't cooperate Let me know if these numbers match up at all. nterim.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href) return false There were specific batches that should be listed online somewhere. Is there an identifier in it to tell if it came from a recall? I'd just like to be able to tell before buying it if possible. If you remove the ECM, it will have the part number on it. I might have to take to the dealer after all. I don't really want to drive around with a check engine light on constantly. I guess my attempts might be pointless if a used ECU can't have the VIN changed anyways. I'm just saying it's at least different enough that you have to use GM communication programming. If you use Snap-On's Solus Pro, you can't use the Toyota personality key to talk to the ECU as well and have to use the same one as the GM vehicles. When it talks to Toyotas, it can recalibrate the programming, perform a health check, and some other functions. You can talk to other cars using it but can only pull up codes and sometimes the live datastream. The Toyota scan tool won't talk to my vibe the way it does a Toyota. Just wondering because a friend of mine thinks he'll be able to program the VIN into the used ECU but is gathering tools/software required for doing so on a Toyota. Everything actually other than the grill on the front says Toyota. How did you end up reprogramming the ECU? Did you take to a dealer for that?Ĭ2cummin wrote:Would the programming really be that different? Just curious since the ECU in my car says Toyota on it.
